Files Uploaded to Team Drive Are Not Showing Up

Give thanks you for posting your question in this community. From your description, it seems that the uploaded file is non listed in group connected Teams site in SharePoint Online afterward yous upload in Teams.
Generally, when yous create a team in Teams, an Office 365 grouping volition be created as well, which it will help you to create a SharePoint Team site which associated with the squad in Teams. The file you uploaded in team chart will be local in the document library in the associated SharePoint Squad site.

I suggest you lot tin go to the squad in Teams and click Files tab > Open in SharePoint, which it would lead you to the file location in SharePoint document library.

A clearer answer would be that yes, Teams is only a peel that sits on top of a SP site and all your files should be visible if you open the SP site. A Team creates a site, a channel creates a folder within that site's docs library.
So if you navigate to /sites/teamname/Shared%20Documents, you'll run across all your channels and files uploaded to Teams in them. If y'all paste a link to a doc stored elsewhere in a Teams conversation information technology WON'T be uploaded to the Teams site.
ODFB is but a library in each user's personal site and has zilch to do with Teams.
Teams chats are stored somewhere in Azure and aren't accessible via the Teams' underlying SP site.
It's a confused ready which Msft could have made a lot more than intuitive, but that's not their forte.

I uploaded the files to the 'file' area in i of the channels in our Team expanse. Every bit I sympathize information technology these files are stored in SharePoint under the same Team name and the folders with the same name as the channels. That is what I have observed. But having uploaded files via Teams they don't all appear under Sharepoint. So I have say viii files shown in Teams surface area but only 6 of them shown under Sharepoint. That's what I don't understand? Is there some footstep I am missing etc. I do realise that Team chats are not stored in Sharepoint. As I sympathise it chats are stored in One Drive for Business in some way. I appreciate that Teams sits sort of above Office 365 (for business organization with Sharepoint etc.). Last year I had never met Teams or Sharepoint I was a home user of Office 365 (having merely transferrred from Office 2010 pro). The clemency asked me to roll out MS Teams to their retail side. So I have had to teach myself Teams and understand Sharepoint. I take Mastering Microsoft Teams (idea information technology feels to me more about deploying Teams than being applied how to drive it). I too have Microsoft Sharepoint 2016 Footstep past Step and Sharepoint from Scratch. Plus finding videos to watch on-line. But this business organization that files I add via Teams don't appear on SharePoint confuses me? What am I doing wrong?

I am working from home sometimes as as volunteer for the charity. On my PC at home I have the MS Teams app installed. Whereas if I want to use SharePoint I will use the on-line access once again I employ Outlook Web Access for Emails. When I am on the site I am on the domain though I don't take Office 365 for business on my PC (due to express licences I take to utilise Office 2016 pro on the PC at the charity). It maybe that when I need to ensure that I am signed into Office365 (Sharepoint) on-line with my identity and also logged in with the same indentity to MS Teams app on my PC then I volition run into all the files equally. This may exist the problem I am experiencing?

Give thanks you for your reply. Generally, the sign in business relationship in Office desktop awarding won't touch the file location you uploaded in Teams application. As long equally Microsoft Teams application is signed in with the right business organization account, you should be able to encounter the uploaded files in the associated SharePoint Team site.
I noticed that you mentioned "8 files shown in Teams expanse but only 6 of them shown under SharePoint", does information technology hateful yous only can see 6 files in the associated SharePoint Teams site after you upload 8 files through grouping channel in Microsoft Teams?
If so, may I confirm the post-obit information at your convenience?

I volition check this out. My understanding and what I have seen is that if I add a file via Teams then it under SharePoint and I meet it there.
I will practice a few checks - by adding files nether Teams. I affair I can practise when adding - is and so say Open in SharePoint and so check that I can open the file. Information technology must and then be in CheckPoint every bit one would expect. Shame that one cannot see webbrewers3 stuff. As I understand it the Chat text conversations are stored on 1 Driver (business). Not sure you can meet them in One Bulldoze but you can run into the chats in Teams depending on whether they are private one to i chats. But you tin all the same see that two people take chatted in a private conversation but not the content. That is my understanding. Likewise I want to print a document from Teams I accept to open it in SharePoint and then print from their. I take found with Discussion Documents if I don't have the Office 386 app but on web admission it sometimes turns it into a PDF and I print that. Sorry if I am getting you lot to assist me learn. Simply I am going to have to gyre out Teams to our retail team and teach them. Plus be the administrator or owner of the teams under Teams. And it helps to sympathise the relatiionship with SharePoint etc. Could do with a good applied book on Teams.

For the uploaded file in a group channel conversation, the file volition be uploaded to the associated SharePoint Online Teams site. and shop under the grouping channel proper name'southward folder in SharePoint Online document library.
